Shipmates, I would like to mention that most of this site is one huge Gallery of great pictures, and
we all can thank those Photographers Mates and Aviation Photographers Mates for all the great pictures they provided
for our Cruise Book, the Log-19. The pictures in these galleries were 'borrowed' from Log-19 '63 Cruise Book. I
don't think the publishers would mind that the site is using their great pictures. If I could find the publishers,
I would have sought permission first. But since the pictures have been in the "Public Domain" now for
over 37 years, I doubt that it'd be any kind of issue. The publishers are in Tokyo, so if anyone from the company
that contracted to do our Cruise Books sees these pictures, let me say d'marigato!'
The pictures speak for themselves, but it behooves me to give credit where credit it is due, and so I am giving
credit to those who stood behind the cameras and took the pictures and stopped the motion and froze the action
forever.
Through pictures, we have the best tools for recalling wonderful memories. This is the purpose of
the Cyber Hannah.. to see that she is Haze Gray and underway for the rest of Time. When your Yeoman is gone, it
is my hope that someone will step forward, who served in her, or whose father served in her, so that the motion
of the seas remains. There are some things that are missed by this old Salt, and that's one of them.. I now know
why I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to
steer her by.
So much for Kudos, I'd like to say that I am quite sure you
will enjoy your tour aboard the "ship" and it is my profound hope that this site will conjure up emotions
in you that will make you feel all fuzzy inside. If it does, then great! I have accomplished my mission... let
me know by Logging in at the Deck and Divisions Log.
